TAA's HELICOPTERS IN ANTARTICA
This account is of an historic helicopter accident in Antartica in the Summer of 1960, during the Coastal Survey and resupply of Australian bases. It is provided by Captain Peter Ivanoff, an airline pilot for 40 years , initially with TAA for 22 years, then a variety of other Airlines. Peter was the pilot in this accident and this is an account as submitted to the Editor of Flight Safety Australia, Canberra.
