The TAA Video Archive features historic Trans-Australia Airlines footage, archival commercials, engineer simulators, and cockpit crew training displays.

TAA Video Archive: Museum Tour

A short overview of some of the exhibits in the Museum Collection. This video was taken at the old TAA Museum site in York Street, Airport West. We've since moved to an amazing new space in Tullamarine with a completely revamped collection and much more to see!

TAA Video Archive – JT8D Engine Simulator

The museum now has an engine simulator used to train TAA engineers in jet engine mechanics. The video itself has been taken from an active display at the Museum - which you can visit any time!

TAA Video Archive – Avalon Airshow 2015

This film clip shows the TAA display set up at the Avalon Airshow in 2015. We also have a picture gallery devoted to the Avalon Airshow which has several photographs from the day itself. Our booth at the Airshow was a roaring success, with hundred of visitors reminiscing about the Golden Age of Aviation.

These commercials promoted the introduction of the Boeing 727 T‑Jets to the TAA fleet. 

TAA VH-AES Douglas DC-3 "Hawdon"

Paul Stewart has graciously provided an amazing video of the VH-AES TAA DC-3 Hawdon in action on ANZAC Day. Maintained in fully airworthy condition by HARS, "Hawdon" and other historic fleet aircraft regularly take to the skies to honor veterans with regional commemorative flyovers.
